UK based, Ghanaian gospel artists, Mr. Sonnie Badu, has added his opinion to the topic of International Central Gospel Church's (ICGC) founder, Paster Mensah Otabil's controversial statement regarding comments he made about false pastors.
Over the past week the founder of ICGC, Pastor Mansah Otabil, has consistently made the news. First, over comments he made during a recent ICGC event where he suggested that some men of God calling themselves prophets were indeed false prophets.
On the other hand, Pastor Mensah Otabil's ministry, ICGC, also consecutively made the news with pictures on social media of a "special" offering taken during a recent church event where fellow pastor, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo was invited.
In a post on the gosptel artist's Instagram profile, Sonnie Badu has come to Pastor Mensah Otabil's defense and asked Ghanaian youths to regard men of God with a little respect.
Starting off, Sonnie Badu clarifies that he's not affiliated with ICGC, nor has he been tasked to come to the church's defense. According to the UK based gospel singer, Pastor Mensah Otabil's false prophet comment wasn't aimed at all prophets, but that Ghanaians know that there are indeed false prophets who go around causing havoc and confusion.
"I am not an ICGC member and I have not been told to do this by anyone... Dr MENSAH Otabil was not referring to all prophets. Firstly, As we all know, there are false prophets who have caused confusion in families and robbed them of many things," wrote the UK based gospel artist.
Sonnie Badu's comments come in the wake of numerous ones made from various prophets, pastors, and men of God all condemning Pastor Otabil's comments.
