- Ghana Police still hunting down 13 people in Major Mahama's murder case
- Investigators are asking for more time to get them arrested
The Ghana Police Service have hinted that, they are still in search of 13 more suspects in the murder case of the late Major Adam Mahama .
According to Police prosecutors, out of the mob who instigated the death of the late army officer, only 20 suspects are in police custody awaiting trial.
Appearing in court today, DSP George Amegah, State Prosecutor told the Magistrate that, a copy of the docket on the case had been forwarded to the Attorney General's Department for consideration.
DSP Amegah also informed the court that, investigators are still working hard on the matter to have 13 more people believed to have taken part in the crime arrested.
On his part, Ebenezer Kweku Ansah the Magistrate, adjourned the case to September 7, with the reason of awaiting the advice of the A-G’s department, in order to give investigators more time into the matter.
The late soldier, Major Maxwell Adam Mahama was gruesomely murdered in in May 29, at Denkyira-Obuasi by some irate youth, after they accused him of being an armed robber.
So far, about 60 people were initially rounded up in connection with the murder and are currently standing a trial.
