Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Okoro has revealed that some hawkers who once spotted her in traffic on the street of Accra, labeled her as a ‘cocaine dealer’.
The actress sharing her experience on Ghanaian entertainment industry disclosed that, she actually felt good when the crowd started mobbing her in traffic but to her surprise, one of them openly rubbished her, claiming she acquired her car through cocaine business.
Yvonne says though she felt embarrassed, she wondered why they were quick to label her as a ‘coke dealer’ but couldn’t attribute her success to her hard work.
She added that, she simply could not fathom why it has to always be negative about celebrities in Ghana unlike in Nigeria.
The actress in her account submitted that, she had on many occasion considered ditching Ghana to settle in Nigeria, since actresses are being treated with much respect than in Ghana.
She also intimated that, the quality of Ghanaian movies can only improve and much up to international standard if people will support the industry, by patronizing made in Ghana movies.
