According to New York Daily News, the couple got into an argument at about 8am. Neighbors reportedly heard them arguing outside before Dominique followed Clarence inside.
Clarence later told police that he had lost his job and his finances were therefore in a shambles. He added that Dominque had ordered him to move out of the house.
It was during their argument that Dominique told him about his inability to satisfy her. Clarence said he didn't intend to hurt his wife and only wanted to "scare" her.
The two have been married for four years and have a young daughter. This is reportedly the second time police have intervened in a domestic incident between them.
