Nana Addo to visit Denkyira Obuasi on August 11

President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has revealed plans of visiting the very location where Major Mahama was lynched.

According to the deputy Central Regional minister, Hon. Thomas Agyei Baffuor, the president will use the opportunity to also visit the chief and opinion leaders of the town.

“We have communicated the visit to the Chiefs and everyone concerned that on the 11 the President will pay working visit to them,” the minister revealed.

The revelation by the minister follows the recent arrest and ongoing trial of over 20 residents of Denkyira Obuasi suspected to have been behind the killing of the soldier.

So far, the assembly man of Denkyira Obuasi has argued that he is not behind the killing of the soldier as intense investigations still continue.
