The capital city of Ghana, Accra in the Greater Accra Region will soon become "barrierless" as the Ghana Police service administration have started taking steps to remove all barriers at entry points.
According to a report by Ghanaian news publication, CitiFMOnline.com, some of the barriers have already been removed.
The report cited the entrance barrier at Ofankor near Achimota as been one of the first barriers affected by the new directive.
The removal of these barriers would enable the implementation of motorized barriers that will be complemented with snap checks into the capital city of Ghana.
These snap checks would be randomized to prevent criminal seeking entrance into Accra to know which of the entrances to use or avoid.
