- Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has called out the New Patriotic Party for focusing on "irrelevant" history instead of trying to fix the numerous issues being faced by countless Ghanaians on a daily basis
- The previous week was full of several discussion on who the true founder of Ghana with some NPP members disputing that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was not the true founder of Ghana
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has expressed his displeasure at the recent brouhaha over the issue of the founding fathers of Ghana.
Over the past week, the media has been inundated with reports of some member of the ruling New Patriotic Party reportedly trying to "distort" the history of Ghana by claiming that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is not the actual founder of Ghana.
Whereas, the lead of the Progressive People's Party (PPP) did not contribute to the issue in contest, he expressed that the NPP was wasting time.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Dr. Nduom stated that "While the people suffer, they [NPP] are busying themselves "marking" history papers!".
Dr. Nduom, in the post, stated that as some Ghanaians "thirst", "hunger" and are "still engulfed in filth", the NPP is busy with historical issues that would not affect the immediate livelihood of the people.
He continued to accuse the NPP, lead by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of "holding jamborees" as Ghanaians "are still suffering".
Nduom warned and admonished the NPP government to remember that the suffering of the people is "the reason why a party went and a party came".
