Ghanaian gospel diva, Joyce Belessing has revealed that, popular television host, Deloris Frimpong Manso, better known as Delay is on a mission to bring down gospel musicians.
According to her, Delay has pieced together her recent interview she had with her to make her look bad in the eyes of many Ghanaians.
The singer in a few weeks ago was subjected to public bashing and humiliation after her interview with Delay sparked some level of outraged within the music industry.
But the the gospel artiste speaking on Kumasi-based Hello FM stated that, the interview she had with Delay was deliberately edited to make her look bad over her former manager, Kwesi Ernest.
“Delay wants the downfall of artistes, she edited my interview to disgrace me. That was not a complete interview. There was a fight within the interview so I even said I wouldn’t do the interview again. She assaulted my husband verbally,” she categorically said.
Joyce Blessing disclosed that, before going on set for the interview, Delay viciously prevented her husband from being with her which resulted in an altercation till they had to cut the interview.
Delay in last week aired an interview she had with the singer that created the impression that [she], Joyce Blessing was being ungrateful to her former manager and his Media Excel after signing a new deal with Zylofon Media.
The interview purported to suggest that, the singer dumped her former management, Excel Media, who brought her out from the doldrums for another management without recognition.
The interview after being aired angered some critics, with some insisting that, Joyce’s demeanour on the show reeked of ingratitude, bitterness and arrogance.
Some also argued that, even if there was a problem between her and the former manager, she shouldn’t have deprived him of some credit after securing a juicy deal from Zylofon Media.
Joyce on the show, while responding to Delay’s questions on her former manager revealed that, a lot of investments made during her time Kwesi Ernest, were not entirely from his resources.
