The president has also assured the people of Denkyira Obuasi of Government's resolve to ensure that citizens living in the said town also receive their fair share of the national cake.
In the meantime, there are reports of the town deciding to change the name of the town from Denkyira Obuasi to New Denkyira-Obuasi - a name which suggests residents in the said town have wanted to have the town re-birthed from the dastardly act involving the mob killing of Major Mahama.
