Hiplife artiste, Emmanuel Botchway, known by his stage name Kwaw Kese has hit hard at the police for arresting him for the use of narcotics.

In an interaction with Doreen Andoh on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix, the controversial artiste revealed that “even the police know I smoke weed”. According to him, he finds it strange for him to have been arrested by the police especially when he has been on drugs for the past 20 years.
“I still smoke weed, if I don’t how can I continue with my career. I don’t care I smoke and the police know I smoke,” he argued.
Recounting his time in jail, the Hiplife artiste revealed that “prison taught me how expensive freedom is” and that he still continues to help drug addicts suffering from the addiction of marijuana.
Meanwhile, the Drug Law Enforcement Unit of the Ghana Police has said that the decriminalization of marijuana, popularly referred to as 'wee' should be considered to help in fight against the abuse of the narcotic drug in the country.
