- Dr. Valerie Sawyer has warned Martin Amidu to end his rants against the NDC and its members
- She said his over-bloated ego is likely to be his Achilles Heel which could destroy him
The Former Attorney General, Martin Amidu has been warned to end his harsh critique of the National Democratic Congress, by the former deputy Chief of Staff under the Mahama Administration, Valerie Sawyerr.
According to Dr. Sawyerr, Mr. Amidu should end his association with the party if he no longer has any intention of pushing forward their agenda.
Martin Amidu in recent weeks has launched strong verbal attacks on the NDC, throwing harsh jabs at the executives at various levels.
Earlier this week, Mr. Amidu blamed the current rot at the Electoral Commission on the maneuverings of the NDC.
Martin Amidu had alleged that the NDC government appointed Madam Charlotte Osei in hopes of using her position as EC chair to rig the 2016 General Elections in their favor, a plan which sadly for the NDC backfired.
However, Dr. Sawyer has lambasted the lawyer who has named himself a ‘citizen vigilante’, stating he should end his rants at the party.
“… and what is Comrade Martin Amidu also babbling about? Martin, did I not tell you that your pomposity, over-bloated ego and sense of self-importance constitute your Achilles heel? Remember, when I told you (years ago) after a presidential press conference, that a directive had been issued that no appointee should grant a press interview in order to avoid any contradictory statements on air … and you screeched … ‘who are you … small girl like you … where were you when I was Attorney General’ etc etc? Remember I told you that it is your Achilles heel that would destroy you?,” she said.
In a report by Starr FM, Dr. Sawyerr wondered when Mr. Amidu became a proclaimed crusader for the nation’s interest, suggesting that his rise in the ranks of the New Patriotic Party coincides with his decline in the NDC ranks.
Dr. Sawyerr challenged Martin Amidu to ‘cut the crap’ and resign from the NDC, as his aim of sending them into opposition was achieved.
