Not too long ago, the death was reported of Paapa Yankson who was one of Ghana’s music greats in the high life section of the music industry.
His death took the whole nation by surprise since he was awarded a lifetime award at the last Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
He received the award seated in a wheelchair and gave a brief speech tracing a trajectory of his music career throughout the years.
Benjamin Paapa Kofi Yankson’s one week observation was attended by many of Ghana’s other living legends across the music divide.
The ceremony was attended by many industry players including Ace Broadcast Journalist, Kwame Sefa-Kayi.
