Hiplife heavy-weight champion, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale has cautioned upcoming dancehall artistes to discard unnecessary feud within the music industry and concentrate in promoting themselves.
According to him, he holds the ticket and all other bragging rights to ‘Dancehall Heaven’ in Ghana music industry. Therefore he will help bring out humble up and coming artistes who follow his movement.
To him, he will as well suffocate arrogant underground artistes who unnecessarily throw lyrical shots at him wanting to ride on his back to fame.
Speaking on an Accra-based Adom FM, the Dancehall King explained that, the only key to success in the Ghanaian music industry is patience.
He therefore urged underground rappers to follow his footsteps else forget getting themselves hit tracks.
Shatta in his discussion lamented that, some upcoming dancehall artistes are trying to ‘beef’ him, in their desperate attempts to secure themselves instant hits songs.
“The underground artistes have to follow the Shatta movement path. I have the ticket to ‘Dancehall Heaven’. If they don’t pray and follow the right path, or come and follow the Shatta movement path that can take them to heaven, the hit songs will never come”, he cautioned.
He further chided young musicians to be extra patience so he can offer them a helping hand to success.
“I have been ten years underground. I have patience. I am a hustler in my lane. When I see boys who have patience I help them to do well. They need to be patient and they will eventually shoot up”, he advised.
