- Former attorney general Martin Amidu has been alleged of attempting to assault former president Mills
- NDC’s Valerie Sawyerr has blamed Martin Amidu of causing the downfall of the party
A former Deputy Chief of Staff under the erstwhile John Mahama administration, Valerie Sawyerr is claiming that former attorney general, Martin Amidu, was relieved of his post by the late President Mills after he planned to assault him.
In what has been seen as a wild revelation written in clear language against former president Jerry Rawlings and Martin Amidu, the former deputy chief of staff makes the case that Martin Amidu has a poor human relations trait - a development which has affected the political fortunes of the party.
"You were relieved of your post as Attorney-General after attempting to assault a sitting Head of State? Since then you have become a so-called crusader, sinking lower and lower in the NDC as you seem to rise higher and higher in the NPP," she claimed in an opinion piece.
YEN.com.gh can’t deny or affirm these claims by Valerie Sawyerr but what we gather is that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) continues to have an intense battle with whether or not to reveal the true reason(s) behind his death.
