- Hon. Ras Mubarak has referred to Kwaw Kesse MPs smoking marijuana comment as "reckless"
- He's said parliament is likely to take up the matter as soon as it resumes active duty
- Blakk Rasta was summoned to parliament for making a similar comment
Member of Parliament (MP) for the Kumbungu constituency, Hon. Ras Mubarak, has responded to allegations made by Kwaw Kesse by challenging the rapper to name parliamentarians who allegedly smoke marijuana, otherwise known as ganja.
In a sequence of events very reminiscent of those that involved Mr. Abubakar Ahmed, popularly known as Blakk Rasta, observers aware of Blakk Rasta's "parliament ordeal" following this particular story will probably expect Ghana's parliament to summon the controversial rapper for him to provide proof of his statements.
A few days ago, Kwaw Kesse revealed on live radio that he still smoked marijuana, and that not only did the police know about it, but that MPs also smoked marijuana, locally referred to as wee.
"I still smoke, I won't say whatever again...I don't want people to be like 'because he got arrested, he stopped what he's doing,'no, then I have to stop music," said the controversial "mad time" rapper. "I used to be hiding it, now I want the world to know... I smoke, and the police know I smoke... I know some people in parliament who smoke."

Now in an interview with Hitz 1, the Kumbungu MP, Hon. Ras Mubarak, indicated that Parliament's Privileges Committee is likely to take up the matter as soon as it resumes active duty come October.
According to the Kumbungu legislator, for parliament to overlook Kwaw Kesse's comment would "unfair" since it Blakk Rasta was summoned to parliament for making similar comments.
“A precedent has been set; looking at the fact that somebody made similar comments and was dragged before the Privileges Committee."
