An anesthetist who works at the Tema General Hospital had the shock of her life when a doctor at the same medical facility pounced on her, brutally assaulting her for being late for work.
The anesthetist, Regina Efia Biama, has since been complaining of general body pains; her mouth and forehead are also swollen.
This, according to medical reports, is because the doctor, Lawrence Hoedoafia, slapped her face.
According to the victim, she hit her head against the wooden stand of the refrigerator in the nurses restroom, where the incident occurred.
This was because, Hoedoafia grabbed her legs and pulled them, which forced her off the sofa she was resting on.
The 38 – year old mother of three added that her head injury would have been worse, if it wasn’t for her braids.
Providing further details on the circumstances that led to the assault, she said that she arrived late for work one evening, and at about 10pm, an angry Hoedoafia barged into the rest room and began to rain insults on her.
She retorted with an insult, as she couldn’t bear it anymore, and that triggered the physical attack from him.
She went on to say that the doctor failed to heed to the pleas from her coleagues, who sought to put an end to the assault.

It is alleged that the management of the hospital has officially written to the victim to withdraw the case, so that it could be amicably settled.
She however stated that she wants justice to be done, as she has suffered a lot, as a result of the abuse.
When asked to comment on the matter, the suspect stated that he cannot do so, as the management of the hospital is handling the matter.
