Respected Ghanaian Hipplife artiste, Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata has disclosed that he became disappointed when he was not nominated in the Artiste of the Year category for this years’ Ghana Music Awards.

According to him, organizers of 2017 Vodafone Music Awards a bit cheated him in that category.

Speaking in an interview recently, the Takoradi singer insisted that, he was nominated for Highlife Songwriter of the Year and Highlife of the Year but was dropped in the overall Artiste of the Year category, which was a bit unfair in the whole process.

“I felt cheated, because how can I be nominated for highlife song of the year and also songwriter of the year and not be nominated for the biggest category of the night which is the artist of the year? That was really disappointing,” Kinaata told the media.

The ‘Susuka’ hitmaker alos debunked some rumors that he is currently have rough times with another Takoradi singer, Pappy Kojo.

“People think I have a beef with my fellow Fante brother, Pappy Kojo. In fact he was my neighbor back in Takoradi and we are good friends,” he said.

The rapper who is currently out with his new single hinted that, he was looking forward to work with some popular Nigerian artists, including Wizkid, Davido and Phyno.
