- The political science lecturer is known for his hard statements about Ghanaian politicians
- He has said he is neither pro-NDC nor pro-NPP
Lecturer and political observer, Prof. Ransford Gyampo who is known for his direct and strict criticisms of the Ghanaian political scene has yet again dropped some hard truths about Ghanaian politics.
The lecturer, who teaches at the political science department of the University of Ghana recently took a swipe at Senior Minister Osafo Marfo, for declaring that the public sector will possibly lay off workers, while his own sons were employed to various government positions.
According Prof. Gyampo, he received words of caution from a friend who is in the National Democratic Congress, who warned that the current ‘establishment’ were unhappy with his (Gyampo) open attacks on their governance.
Gyampo said he was warned to take steps to protect himself and his family.
In a Facebook post, Gyampo responded that while he appreciates the warning, he finds it curious that the NDC who initially tagged him as pro-New Patriotic Party, now seem to want him on their side.
Gyampo stated that he as not ‘amused by their hypocrisy’ and warned the NDC to stay alert as he will soon release a write-up on their ideological school that was recently launched.
“You have always tagged me as NPP. Now that some people in the NPP says I am in bed with your party. Are you going to accept me?
Please watch out for my write-up about the school you have established. I will speak my mind about it. Be careful to take my view as my view. Do not tag me as NPP when I criticize you” Prof. Gyampo wrote.
