Highlife great, Jewel Ackah, could not hold back his tears as he received a $10,000 donation from Zylofon Media on Saturday.
The donation came from the CEO of the media company, Nana Appiah Mensah, YEN.com.gh can report.
It came days after Ackah accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of abandoning him, despite his contributions to the party.
Ackah, who composed the NDC anthem and also supported the party's election campaigns with songs, said although he had battled sickness for years, but the party had done nothing to support him.
The musician's plight caught the attention of the Xylofon Media boss, who directed that $10,000 in cash be given to him.
Overwhelmed by the gesture of goodwill, Ackah broke into tears and said a prayer for the donor.
