President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has hinted that the much talked about free SHS programme would be fully funded by revenue from the oil sector.
Addressing a durbar at Senya Bereku in the Central region, the president revealed that his government is committed ti ensuring that proceeds from the country's oil reserves are never misused nor embezzled.
The revelation by Nana Addo follows assurances by the education minister, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, that the free SHS policy which begins in September will cover all students who passed the recently written BECE exams.
The free SHS policy will see students relieved of the payment of tuition fees as well as the payment of boarding fees - a move governmnet believes would end the menace of students not being able to attend high school.
