- Family members and sections of the public are calling for a thorough investigation into what killed the president
Ghanaians are still in wild search for answers over what may have resulted in the death of former president Mills as no official report over his death has been released.
But in a recent letter by the former attorney general, it has been documented that the late president was on a medical trip to New York for "his cancer treatment".
"The President was leaving for New York for his final cancer treatment on 24th December 2011 and requested that I submit a written report to him on his return. After I had given the President and the Chief of Staff the update and was leaving his office on the 23rd December, 2011," excerpts of the letter read.
This is not to say that the cause of Atta Mills's death was cancer but rather get to know the circumstances leading to his death especially when reports have it that the late president died of an aggressive throat cancer.
Meanwhile, a cross section of the public including some family members of Atta Mills are calling for a thorough investigation into the cause of death of Atta Mills.
