Two Algerian pilots have been sent on compulsory leave after they allegedly permitted a 10-year-old boy to take charge of a domestic passenger flight in desperate quest to fulfill his dream.
The seemingly ambitious young boy, who is reportedly an orphan, was captured on camera while sitting in the cockpit, complete with a pilot's uniform.
He could be seen pressing buttons under the supervision of the two pilots during a flight to Setif from Algiers, the country's capital city.
As reported by El Bilad TV, the two unnamed Air Algerie pilots violated the laid down civil aviation regulation, leading to their immediate suspension.
The adventurous but unacceptable incident captured the attention of the airline's authority after it was aired on the local TV.
Investigation is ongoing.
