President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has revealed that government lost in excess of 3 billion dollars during the energy crisis which struck the nation in the erstwhile Mahama administration.
Delivering a speech at the Ghana Policy Summit in Accra, the president revealed that the private sector is bound to face a huge blow if issues related to the energy crisis is not fully addressed.
Referencing recent figures from the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), the president lamented how over 2 percent of the nation's GDP got lost due to the power crisis of 2014.
The present NPP administration has thus revealed plans to ensuring that the power crisis is fully resolved as power minister, Boakye Agyarko , says his outfit will be ensuring that the energy sector debts are fully refinanced.
