- The rumours are to the effect that some of the workers may lose their jobs after six months
- It is alleged that those to be sent away may receive no severance package
Unconfirmed reports reaching YEN indicate that some workers of the now defunct banks, Capital Bank and UT Bank, which have been taken over by GCB Bank Ltd, may lose their jobs after six months.
Sources say that workers in the two banks would be put on probation for six (6) months.
After the expiration of the period, a criterion would be used to determine which of the workers would continue to work with GCB Ltd, and those who won’t.
Those who would be sent away, it is alleged, may have no severance package.
