Ghanaian highlife legend, Jewel Ackah has disclosed that, he has learnt bitter life lessons after the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) neglected him after the 2016 elections.
According to the singer, he has regretted sacrificing his entire music career for political party which has suddenly turn against him.
The highlife musician who is currently battling his life with stroke and diabetes, told TV3 in an interview that, he may opt for a full contract with political parties before picking such moves in his next life.
Jewel Ackah in his submission maintained that, he was forced to openly come out on the matter, after he exhausted every necessary avenue to dialogue with with the leaders of the NDC.
He added that, he visited the NDC party office on several occasions but was shamefully turned away in a rather bizarre manner.
“They say I have disgraced them, they thought I am stupid. They want me to die so they will come and make big shows at my funeral”, the singer said.
Jewel Ackah narrated that, he got opportunity to compose the NDC anthem when he met with one prominent party member, Totobi Kwakye, after he handed him with a script.
He added that, he had a tough time putting the anthem together since sound engineers were not willing to get involved in the project
