Daniel Ablorh, the man who serves as a bouncer at KONA bar and Grill at Osu in Accra is to be arraigned before court after his arrest.
The bouncer was arrested for allegedly assaulting a female customer, Portia Asantewaa Duah at the Osu bar.
According to Starr News report, Daniel Ablorh has been in detention since Sunday afternoon after he turned himself in at the Osu Police station.
According to Police report, Portia who was at the popular restaurant with friends was asked by the bouncer to leave on suspicion of occupying seat without buying anything.
But Portia and her friends explained to Ablorh that, they had purchased some drinks earlier but waitresses have cleared their table.
This explanation didn’t go down well with the bouncer who insisted they leave the restaurant.
Portia in her bid to prove a point, approached one of the waitress to demand for their receipt for drinks bought.
She then began speaking to her friends insisting they were being embarrassed but Ablorh demanded her to keep quite since he was not talking to her. He then slapped her twice on her face.
Portia was said to have sustained swollen face and red eye from the assault.
Her friends who were shocked by the conduct of the Daniel Ablorh, approached the restaurant manager to seek explanations but the manager brushed them aside, insisting they allow matters go.
However, management of Kona Café and Grill have since apologized about the incident via their Facebook page, insisting the company do not condone violence against women.
