Social vices have increased in the Upper West and Brong Ahafo regions following the non-replacement of transferred security personnel there.
Deputy Upper West minister, Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, has revealed that only 917 security personnel are currently stationed to enforce security in the area - a development he fears has increased crime levels.
The alert by the deputy minister follows reports of how a possible terrorist camp from Burkina Faso is being transferred into a undisclosed location in the region - a concert yet to be confirmed by the minister of defense.
Also in the Brong Ahafo region, it has been reported that only 4 police officials are overseeing the security of 20 communities.
So far, these concerns are yet to be commented upon by the police service as massive transfers of security officials continue unabated.
