Mzbel 'condemns' Otabil and lauds Mahama for his tolerance

Musician Mzbel has stated in no uncertain terms that ex-president Mahama was better at accepting criticism from everyone; even those who are finding it difficult to handle the criticism coming their way.

The hiplife songstress took to her Facebook page and commended former president John Mahama for having a strong chin when he was hit by critics including Dr. Mensa Otabil.

She went on to commend the former statesman for his contribution on the world stage.

She however cast insinuations that the founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church, Dr. Mensa Otabil was not good at taking criticism even though he was one of the critics of former president.

Mzbel indicated that posterity was going to judge ex-president Mahama for how he handled critics while he was in office as the commander-in-chief of the country.

The “I am in love” singer waded into the collapse of Capital Bank and took a swing at Otabil as she posted a picture of former president Mahama and captioned it, “Posterity will be your judge. As a party supporter I still salute you as my political C-in-C. You are doing great on the world stage. People who were insulted by people who looked like insults, all insulted you. You bore it with equanimity”.

It was reported that on Sunday August 20, Dr. Mensah Otabil in preaching a sermon at the headquarters of his church made a passing statement that “even people who looked like insults” were smearing him with slander due to his links with Capital Bank.

Mzbel threw her weight behind then candidate Mahama in the 2016 General Elections. She however came under a barrage of attacks after the election was won by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
