- Duncan-Williams says his marriage failed because he didn't show much affection
- He is asking men to openly express love towards their partners
Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has counseled men to shower their women with love and as well show them much affection.
According to him, his first marriage failed because he had little understanding of women’s needs and wants.
Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat yesterday, the General Overseer of Action Chapel International disclosed that women are made for attention, security and love.
Archbishop Duncan Williams in his conversation told the host that, he was unable to show much love and attention towards his ex-wife because his late father did not set good examples for him and his siblings to follow.
Duncan Williams added that growing up as a kid, he never saw his father even for once hugging any of his wives.
“My father never hugged me till he died; I didn’t see my dad showing any affection around to any of his wives. So I realize that there is no example for me to look up to and to appreciate anything that she [my wife] wanted,” the renowned ‘man of God’ said.

Papa Duncan as he is affectionately called, explained that he is not a man with affection, therefore could not send roses, flowers and other presents to his wife in the past.
“I never saw my father send roses to anyone…so to tell me to send roses, flowers, those things were problem for me in those days,” he admitted.
From a very humble background and beginning, Duncan-Williams has risen to become a very prominent minister of the gospel representing the entire African continent on international level.
He has been recognized on many international programmes and platforms. He recently became the first non-American to lead prayer session for President Trump during his inauguration ceremony.
