- Gifty Ohene-Konadu is saying NDC members are openly kicking against the policy
- She says Minority MPs are secretly submitting proposals to benefit from the policy
The National Coordinator for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), flagship programme One District Factory, Mrs Gifty Ohene-Konadu has revealed that NDC MPs are secretly rushing to his office with proposals to partake in the policy.
According to him, the Minority MPs who vehemently opposed to the One District One Factory policy are now chasing him with proposals wanting to benefit from the initiative.
Mrs Ohene-Konadu made the revelation after the continues opposition and attacks on the NPP administration on the policy.
Some key members of the NDC have intensified attacks on the Akufo-Addo administration following the launching of the Ekumfi Pineapple Factory last week in the Central Region.
A former deputy Minister of Trade, Murtalla Mohammed under the erstwhile Mahama administration has accused the NPP government of ‘stealing’ projects initiated by the NDC government in 2013.

But reacting to the matter on Accra-based Adom FM, Madam Ohene-Konadu expressed disgust at the opposition members over their vicious attempts to discredit the policy.
She added that she simply could not fathom why some clueless members of the NDC are bent in discrediting the policy, whiles some Minority Members in Parliament are thronging her office with One District One Factory proposals to partake in the policy.
“They should ask the Minority MPs, I don’t want to mention names but when they come to the office with their proposals I receive them with open arms. We are even considering the viability of their project to assist them accordingly,” Madam Ohene-Konadu revealed.
The former deputy Trade Minister said, the Nana Akufo-Addo led government is ready to assist entrepreneurs irrespective of their political affiliation to help provide enough jobs for the youth.
