Several appointees of the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will soon be prosecuted and sent to jail for there roles in milking the nation's coffers.
The is according to Maverick politician, Kennedy Agyapong, who has boldly claimed that former Director of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SNNIT), Ernest Thompson, is part of those who will soon face prosecution.
This comes after some persons at SNNIT were reported to have overspent a whopping $6 million on on acquiring a BOS software.
The matter has since been taken up by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), who are currently investigating five persons.
Mr. Agyapong believes a lot more officials occupying public offices will soon be the next to be interrogated, adding that government has already gathered enough evidence to initiate their prosecutions.
According to him, some members of the erstwhile NDC government were so corrupt that the evidences gathered against them is "enormous", calling on the current administration - led by president Akufo-Addo - to "punish these people for their wrong doing."
The Assin Central MP further added that Ghanaians will be surprised by "the havoc these NDC appointees have wrecked [ in] the economy" but reckoned president Akufo-Addo will fix it.
