Dr. John Ofori-Tenkorang, the Director General of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), has given Ghanaians the assurance that contributions from workers have not been affected, despite the recent $72 million software scandal.
He added that the relevant precautions have been implemented, so that contributors are not adversely affected.
Dr Ofori-Tenkorang went on to say that the board has also implemented cost-cutting measures and as such there was no cause for alarm.
He added that the amount would continue to appreciate till the system is fully functional.
Five persons are being investigated at the instance of the Board Chairman, Dr. Kwame Addo-Kufuor, who reported the matter to the Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO).
