- 30 percent of all caterers in the school feeding program has been bagged for Otiko Djaba
- The gender minister has ordered for "women activists" to have a special consideration in the recruitment process
Minister for Gender and Social Protection, Otiko Djaba has ordered authorities managing the recruitment of caterers for the school feeding program to reserve a slot for "protocol employment".
According to Citi FM, the letter which was sent to all schools across the various districts is based on new directives following a recent cabinet meeting at the flagstaff house.
What this means is that Otiko Djaba will be directly or indirectly having a stake in who should be employed as a caterer in the program.
“The Final selection form the district which excludes the 30% protocol should include strong women activists, female opinion leaders, other women executives, queen-mothers and members of women groups,” excerpts of the statement added.
