- Lucky Mensah has thrown jabs at former President Mahama in his latest NPP song
- He says Mahama created economic mess but Akufo-Addo is fixing economy back on track
Legendary highlife singer who was once ‘dinning and winning’ with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has turned the heat on the party’s former leader months after losing the 2016 elections.
Lucky Mensah who dumped the NDC for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has thrown jabs at for former Ghanaian leader, President Mahama in a latest song.
The musician who declared support for the NPP cited among gross incompetence omong other reasons displayed by the Mahama administration.
He also disowned the NDC, asserting that President Mahama failed woefully to lead the lead nation’s development agenda, subjecting many into economic hardship and sufferings.
The singer who performed his latest song in honor of President Akufo-Addo threw shades at the former NDC leader, mocking him of being a failed leader in Ghanaian political history.
He also expressed that though president claimed to be youthful leader, he plunged the country into economic mess which is currently being fixed by a purported ‘old man’ since his assumption of power.
Prior to the 2016 general elections, some leading members of the NDC told electorates not to vote for then Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo saying he is too old to govern the country effectively like then President John Mahama.
But Lucky Mensah, who is obviously overwhelmed and satisfied with President Akufo-Addo’s performance since he was sworn into the highest office, has showered praise on the 73-year-old in his latest song.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo addressing gathering at the Cape Coast rally over the weekend insisted that he is not as weak as his detractors perceive him to be.
