- 11 of the 13 players who were expected in camp on day one training showed up

The Black Stars have officially began training ahead to their fate-defining World Cup qualifier against Congo on Friday.
Ghana currently sits in third place in group E - five points behind leaders Egypt and four behind Uganda.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has already released his list of players to partake in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, which will see the Black Stars take on Congo in a double-header.
Despite majority of the players failing to report for the team's first training, eleven were present as they were taken through some drills and stretches.
The team trained on Monday afternoon at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi where they will be basing, as the session was supervised by Kwesi Appiah.
Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) told the media: "“11 players arrived last night, some of the players who have arrived are Lawrence Ati Zigi, Richard Ofori, Ebenezer Ofori, Christian Atsu, Daniel Amartey, Thomas Agyepong, Nicholas Opoku, Edwin Gyasi, Asamoah Gyan, John Boye, Kwadwo Poku. They will be joined by home based players Gideon Waja and Joseph Addo. So that makes it 13 players on the first day of training.”
The Black Stars will need to win on Friday to preserve their slim hopes of making it to a fourth successive World Cup in Russia.
They will again face the Congolese side five days later in Libreville onSeptember 5.
