According to Joy News report, a close source at SNNIT has hinted that an emergency board meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday to discuss how the IT boss can refund to the state since his appointment from October 2015 to July 2017.
Dr Afaglo has been interdicted following a revelation that he presented fake Degrees and Masters qualification and other non-existent documents in securing the top SSNIT job in 2015.
The revelation came barely a week after SSNIT was caught up in $72 million software contract deal, suspected to be fraudulently awarded in 1012.
The whooping contract sum has generated huge feud in the country, causing outrage and public dissatisfaction for SSNIT.
Though the contract was estimated to cost the Ghanaian tax-payer $34 million, but ended up sweeping some $72million within a four-year period.
Despite all the whooping amount of money spent on the project, the current Director-General of SSNIT, John Tenkorang has earlier told the media the Trust is still paying for some components of the software.
Preliminary investigations conducted by Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), have discovered that Dr Afaglo who played a key role in the implementation of the contract has no degrees he claimed to have obtained.
Reports say he was only handed the top job in October 2015, after serving as an IT consultant to SSNIT and other state institutions including National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
