Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has had justice served in her favour after an Accra High Court sentences three men accused of stealing $30,000 from her while at the Kotoka International Airport.
The men, Yakubu Yussif, one Banabas Kayase and Abdul Razak Shaibu all pleaded not guilty to the charges but their plea was not accepted.
It all happened when Akua Donkor was about to catch a flight to the U.S with both men, Yusif and Kyase accompanying her.
“The robbers dragged Madam Donkor from the vehicle and snatched her travelling bag containing $30,000, a plane ticket, a Ghanaian passport, a voter’s ID card and GH¢2,000 and escaped,’’ he Inspector Tuaruka said.
Akua Donkor has praised the court for the decision stating to the media that "justice has finally been served".
