If you are an alcoholic, you might warmly receive the assertion of Ghanaian rapper and serial businessman, Desmond Blackmore especially if you harbors plans of going to the Christian heaven.
According to Desmond, better known in showbiz as D Black, there is nothing wrong with drinking alcohol.
While speaking on the Delay Show with host Deloris Frimpong Manso, the "Alhaji" singer stated that people who drink alcohol can make it to heaven.
He stated that, whereas drinking alcohol in itself is not since, what becomes a vice is indulging in the habit excessively.
The Bible seems to corroborate the words of the Ghanaian rapper as scripture does not necessarily forbid a Christian from drinking beer, wine, or any other drink containing alcohol.
The scripture has also on several occassion rather spoken about alcohol in highly positive terms as seen in Ecclesiastes 9:7, “Drink your wine with a merry heart” and Psalm 104:14-15, which states that God gives wine “that makes glad the heart of men.”
D Black, who told Delay that he identify as a Christian but does not attent church, has businesses that invest in alcoholic products.
He told Delay, "I actually can’t remember [the last time I went to church]".
"I’m not a big fan of attending church; I have a pastor I speak to almost every week. I pray every single day of my life but attending church is not what I do regularly", he said on his Christian life.
