A relieved mom in Houston, Texas has thanked the policeman who rescued her baby daughter from the floods currently ravaging the city.
Dajauh Zhane Henix and her young daughter Paige were trapped neck-deep in floodwaters on Monday, August 29.
They were separated during evacuation efforts and she had to send out an appeal of her Facebook page for rescuers to be on the lookout for her.
Police officers from Harris County also shared a photo of Paige on their social media page after a Constable Christopher Diaz rescued her.
The picture of Diaz holding the adorable Paige has gone viral, garnering more than 28,000 shares, 4,000 reactions and 600 comments.
Henix wrote a comment on the post saying: "Thank you sooooo much for keeping her with you!!! You are a life saver. Greatly appreciated."
Hurricane Harvey has caused severe flooding in Houston, forcing the evacuation of thousands of people from their homes.
