Veteran Ghanaian highlife musician, Lucky Mensah has opened up for the first time on why he dumped the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the crucial 2016 December polls.
According to him, some elements within the NDC waged war against him when he first disowned the party.
Speaking to Spyderlee Entertainment TV at the recent NPP Delegate Conference, the musician disclosed that the NDC is not a party to be considered seriously compared to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its superior leadership qualities.
He therefore said he does no longer what to be associated with the NDC after pledging allegiance to the NPP.
The musician in his conversation submitted that though he abandoned the NDC at her own will, some elements within the party resorted to all kinds of strategies to ruin his life.
He added that party members strategically took to malicious lies and falsehood against him on why he deserted the party in a bid to discredit him.
“NDC is not a serious party because if they were, Ghanaians wouldn’t have voted them out…would they allow for suggestions from party members? They think they know more than anyone else”, he said in an interview.
Lucky Mensah campaigned massively for the NDC during the 2012 Presidential elections and has since ditched the party to fully rally support for the governing NPP.
He also recorded a campaign song for the NPP during the 2016 general elections which saw the NDC suffered a serious humiliation defeat.
