- The man is said to have received GHC840,000 and refused to return said funds.
- The businessman has also failed to appear in court for proceedings.
An Accra circuit court has issued a bench warrant for a local businessman accused of swindling Mr. Kofi Adams, National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

A report by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) has stated that a circuit court in Accra has issued a bench warrant for one Mr. Arnold Asante, who's been accused taking funds from Mr. Kofi Adams under false pretenses and refusing to return said funds.
According to the GNA's report, Mr. Asante Asante allegedly received funds to the tune of GHC840,000 under the pretense that he would pre-finance a tire supplying contract for Goldfields Mining company in Tarkwa, after which would return said funds to the NDC executive once his business was concluded.

The report further stated that Mr. Arnold Asare has since "refused" the funds he received from Mr. Kofi Adams and has subsequently failed to appear in court.
Speaking in court, Prosecuting Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Stephen Adjei, asked the court to issue a bench warrant so authorities to apprehend Mr. Asante, who is also the CEO of Kamsak Limited Ghana.
