- Coach Appiah is likely to rely on the side that defeated Ethiopia
- The attacking force will be led by Asamoah Gyan with Jordan Ayew being the ghost striker
The Black Stars will take on their Congolese counterparts on Friday afternoon as they bid to make it to a fourth successive World Cup.
Ghana's chances previously looked bleak, however, after seeing Egypt surprisingly fall to Uganda, the Black Stars now have their destinies in their own hands.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has already named a 24-man squad to face the Red Devils, with Afriyie Acquah and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom earning late call-ups to replace Isaac Sackey and Raphael Dwamena respectively.
But the Black Stars coach is not expected to make too many changes forFriday's World Cup qualifier for the sake of consistency.
In post, Wa All Stars' Richard Ofori is expected to keep his position, having been the Black Stars' first choice goalkeeper since Kwesi Appiah was reappointed.
In defense, Afful Harrison is very likely to be maintained at right-back. The return of Jeffrey Schlupp brings competition to the left-back spot but Agbenyenu Lumor is expected to start ahead of the Crystal Palace man.
The Central defensive pairing could see John Boye and Leicester City's Daniel Amartey featuring.
In midfield, Stuggart's Ebenezer Ofori may partner Thomas Partey, with Andre Ayew and the returning Christian Atsu occupying the left and right wing positions respectively.
In attack, the late withdrawal of Raphael Dwamena means that Kwesi Appiah needs to find another strike partner for captain Asamoah Gyan.
In Ghana's previous AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia, it was the Zurich striker and Gyan that played atop. But Jordan could be returning to the starting line-up after his impressive form for Swansea City.
