- A Plus was invited in for questioning by the CID over his allegations of corruption at the Presidency
- He has said he did not dodge the CID but was given a specific date and time to be present
Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as controversial rapper A Plus, has shamed some media platforms over what he describes as false reportage regarding the invitation extended to him by the Criminal Investigations Department.
The rapper was to meet with officials of the CID, to elaborate on his allegations of corruption at the presidency.
A Plus was reported to have missed the meeting due to his legal representation being unavailable at the time.
However, the rapper has taken to his Facebook page to criticize the media outlets for publishing the news without verifying it first.
“Joy FM says I've swerved police. Citi fm says I've dodged police. Police themselves say "COME ON TUESDAY 5th September @10am!!!" Ghana media, you see I keep saying you are #Fakenews? You can't bring me down. You can not handle me!!! I'm too hot for you. You are all fake news!!!! Just deceiving the people!!! Now wait for Tuesday!!!” A Plus wrote.
According to him, his lawyer who was supposed to accompany him was unavailable
He stated that he had indeed wanted to speak with the CID, but he was advised to only attend the meeting with his legal counsel present.
