Teachers of the University of Education, Winneba have denied reports of embarking on a nationwide industrial strike.
Making their thoughts known in a crucial press statement, the teachers revealed that they reject the announcement and categorically state that UTAG UEW is not on strike.
"Any responsible, peace loving, and harmonious-academic-environment-focused national executives, knowing that two campuses have dissociated themselves from the strike action, would have taken it upon themselves to inquire, probe and perhaps helped resolve the division before proceeding to declare its illogically rationalized support for the so-called strike, excerpts of the statement revealed.
Meanwhile, President Nana Addo has charged authorities of the university to address all in-house wrangling so as to ensure that teaching and learning is not affected.
