President of IMANI Africa policy think tank, Mr. Franklyn Cudjoe, has expressed that government ought to thoroughly look into the allegations of corruption levelled against Communications Minister, Hon. Madam Ursula Owusu.

Allegations had previously been leveled against the Communication Minister in relation to contracts for the printing of identification cards for the National Identification Authority (NIA).
According to Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the Communication Minister opted for more expensive bid because the they allegedly already had some kind of arrangement.
In her reponse the Communications Minister, Hon. Ursula Owusu has described the allegations as false.

But speaking on The Big Issue, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe stated that just a blanket order to investigate all corruption allegations make not be measure enough. He said that under former president Mahama, the National Democratic Congress administration's credibility due to it being perceived as corrupt.

He also stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration's was also hanging on the line due to allegations of corruption coming from within the party.
“If these kinds of things start from the party faithful, it is worrying enough so they should make sure these things are properly investigated and the persons who have been unfairly treated should also have their day in court or use other means to bring back their credibility."
