Ghana's former president and ranking member of the National Democratic Congress, John Mahama has come under fire from several quarters following the ruling on Kenya's presidential elections.
Most of these attacks were against the backdrop that John Mahama had ticked the Kenyan elections as free and fair, only for that to be disproved later.
Some other sects have stated that John Mahama was initially unfit to be in his position as an observer because of his close relationship with Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uhuru, who is the incumbent President of Kenya was earlier declared as the winner of the annuled August 8th elections.
However, speaking to the issues, Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey revealed that John Mahama and South Africa's former President Thabo Mbeki advised Kenyan opposition leader, Raila Odinga, to go to court over the country's presidential election.
This new revelations will supposedly silence the critics of Mahama who had accused him of executing his job poorly using the cancellation of the August 8 vote as proof.
In a post on Facebook, Akwetey explained that even as John Mahama and Thabo Mbeki had marked the elections as legit, they heard the protest by Raila and the NASA on the hacking issues.
"...international observers and their leaders could neither investigate the hacking etc allegations on the spot nor stop the declaration of the results, which the IEBC alone was empowered to do", Dr. Akwetey explained.
He also revealed that Mahama and Mbeki had advised Raila and the opposition to take up the contest in court - an advice which was supposedly ignore.
