Outspoken sports journalist and TV personality, Patrick Osei Agyeman, popularly known as Countryman Songo has descended heavily on the Black Stars after their performance against Congo.
The journalist bemoaned the state of the senior national team and the way they performed against Congo on September 1 when the World Cup qualifiers match against them ended 1-1.
The match result has cut short Ghana’s chances of qualifying to the World in Russia next year. This result has disappointed many football-loving Ghanaians.
In a post-match TV show on Adom TV, the firebrand journalist ‘blasted’ both the coach and players. He chided Coach James Kwesi Appiah for fielding players who were not fit for the match when he knew full well that Ghana needed to win the Congo match at all costs
He also talked about the Sports Ministry and Kwesi Nyantakyi for some of the actions they have taken to ‘destroy’ the game of football.
He revealed that some of the players including captain of the team, Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew were all not going to feature in the return match in Congo.
