Social media has become a hostile ground where many issues are discussed and people vent their dissatisfaction about issues.
The recent social media attacks to have surfaced are some reactions from a section of social media users in Ghana after Black Star’s 5-1 triumph over Congo in the World Cup qualifiers.
Prior to the match, news coming from the camp of the players indicated that some top players in the persons of Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew were going to miss out on the return match in Brazzaville due to some health complications.
The news came as a blow to many football-loving Ghanaians since the three listed players were regular faces in the national team.
With the exclusion of the three players, many people insinuated that they ‘intentionally’ did not want to feature due to the fact that the World Cup hopes of the team had been shattered.
What is left is for the nation to hope that the game against Uganda and Egypt ends with a favorable result to aid Ghana’s chances of appearing in the 2018 World Cup scheduled to take place in Russia.
