A US singer-songwriter who has alopecia has shared a heartwarming Instagram post about how she inspired a young girl to embrace the condition.
Keya Trammell has suffered hair loss as a result of the condition. In her post, she said she took off her hat so people could see her baldness during a performance in Kankakee, Illinois.
She then noticed a little girl named Zion, who initially had her hat on but after seeing Keya without one, got the courage to take it off.
Keya could see the Zion too was bald as a result of alopecia. She later took a photo with her and shared it on Instagram along with the heartwarming message.
She wrote: "When I met her, I was full of joy. (Hence, the tears.) Zion's Mother thanked me for not wearing wigs this summer. We also hugged and cried. I was a role model for her baby girl and the way that felt. Reaffirmed me of my destiny."
She continued: "Learning to listen when God speaks can take you out of your comfort zone to only put you in a comforting situation. This little chica blessed me."
