Technical challenges associated with the ongoing registration for the Free SHS programme have compelled parents to seek answers from the Ministry of Education.
The government has however assured the concerned parents and guardians that all measures are being put in place to deal with the situation.
The Computerized School Selection Placement Secretariat (CSSPS) is primarily responsible for facilitating the transition of students from the Junior High School (JHS) level to the Senior High Schools (SHSs).
A deputy minister of Education in charge of pre-Tertiary Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has given the assurance that new servers have been acquired in a bid to ensure a smooth process.
He added that there are backup plans as well, in case there is a setback.
He also indicated that parents could visit any branch of NIIT, an Information Technology (IT) training institution, so as to receive help with any IT-related challenges.
